DISA Plans to Spend $239 Million on Network Widgets through 2015

The Defense Information Systems Agency plans to spend $228.8 million on core gadgets and widgets over the next couple of years to keep its global networks humming, according to a post tucked away on the FedBizOpps website on Aug. 15 titled “DISA Hardware Requirements.”  

Click on the “Justification and Approval” link attached to that notice, and you find out the agency plans to spend a whole bunch on stuff such as optical networking equipment, synchronous optical network switching gear, peripherals, network equipment, storage devices, security tools, and other IT products.

The notice said this stuff all falls under its attached approved product list, but no attachment was attached to the FedBizOpps notice.

I hope someone at DISA HQ will be kind enough to send me the attachment.
