Hey, How About Some HBO for Nuclear Missile Launch Crews?

Sitting around waiting to launch nuclear missiles that could vaporize cities has to be a dull job. To relieve that boredom, the Air Force Global Strike Command plans to buy satellite TV service for 15 missile alert facilities scattered around Wyoming and rural Colorado.

Besides HBO, the satellite service should include a wide range of satellite TV channels and sports packages, with each facility equipped with four receivers.

Call me cranky, but what if the missile-eers miss the launch command due to the fact that it’s the last three minutes of a dead-heat Super Bowl?
