Reid, who is the JAG Corps' first chief knowledge officer, created a collaboration platform that now boasts almost 8,000 members -- no small feat when working with independent-minded attorneys. He capitalized on the Army's milBook, an internal social media tool, and the Defense Information Systems Agency's Defense Connect Online collaboration tool to develop JAG Connect at no cost. The platform kept the Corps functioning during the partial government shutdown last October, and JAG Connect now has subscribers in all the major military service branches.
