Bringing better care to vets. Walders improved the health care and rehabilitation of wounded warriors by creating the Joint Medical Network. It centralizes patient information and tracks visits to medical services, such as counseling and pain management clinics, so that medical professionals can see the whole picture of a patient's condition and treatment. Since the network's implementation, the number of incidents and trouble tickets has dropped by 95 percent. "Walders has created a superior health care-driven IT environment that is the foundation for delivering world-class health care," said Col. Michael Adames, deputy commander for administration at Walter Reed.
