A model for medical data. Morris created, implemented and currently oversees a registry of ocular information for service members who have sustained eye injuries while on active duty. Not only does the registry have information about diagnosis, surgical intervention and related treatment, but it also provides data for analysis on intervention efficacy. It is the first registry shared between the departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Morris' model has inspired the creation of other medical registries for the military, including those related to traumatic brain injuries, extremity trauma, amputations and hearing loss.
