Report: Todd Park to Step Down as Federal CTO
Park plans to move to Silicon Valley, where he will help recruit tech talent for government jobs.
The second-ever federal chief technology officer, Todd Park, plans to resign from his position by the end of the year but will stay with the federal government in a California-based role with recruiting responsibilities, Fortune reported today.
Park plans to relocate to Silicon Valley where his work will include recruiting tech talent for government, the publication said, citing unnamed sources familiar with the situation.
Park took on the CTO role in 2012, following the departure of Aneesh Chopra, who became the first federal CTO in May 2009.
The Office of Management and Budget did not immediately respond to Nextgov's request for confirmation of the news.
