Nominate Tech Innovators for the Nextgov 2015 Bold Awards

Calling all change agents.

It’s time to recognize the good work being done in government. Nominations are now open for the Nextgov 2015 Bold Awards, which highlight and honor federal employees who’ve implemented innovative programs or made transformative contributions to government through the power of technology.

If you know of bold, innovative federal employees who are disrupting the status quo, tell us about them. We are looking for the risk takers who defied the bureaucracy and used technology to improve federal initiatives, processes and policies.

Last year’s winners included a new system that tracks weapons of mass destruction in the field, an effort that put tablet computers in the hands of Peace Corps volunteers overseas, and the overseers of the $6 billion continuous monitoring program.

This year, we’ve added two new categories: the Grace Hopper Bold Award, named after the pioneer of computer science who led the way for women in technology, and the Industry Bold Award, which recognizes private sector innovators.

We want your help to highlight success stories. Here are the details:

•Deadline for nominations is June 30

•Nextgov editorial team will select a dozen or so finalists, who will be announced in August

•Readers will be able to vote for a “People’s Choice” winner online Aug. 10-14.

•Winners will be announced at Nextgov Prime on Sept. 9 in Washington, D.C.
