Video: The Booming Business of Baby-Boomer Tech

America is getting older. The number of people 65 and older in the country will double to 72 million by 2030. And some in the tech industry are taking notice and investing in apps and sites that cater to older citizens.

Honor is now one of several apps that lets users organize home care. Through the app, seniors and their families in the San Francisco area can select a caregiver while the caregivers can get background information on clients and make sure all their to-do lists are complete.

Honor plans to roll out its services to nine other regions around the nation.

The Obama administration is also getting on board inviting tech startups like Uber and Airbnb to participate in the 2015 White House Conference on Aging.

"We have to do work to do more to ensure that every older American has the resources and the support they need to thrive," President Barack Obama said at the conference.
