Video: This Vending Machine Is Watching You

As the battle for shoppers' attention and dollars rages on, retailers are embracing new technology to gather data on us.

Previously innocuous objects like a candy vending machine can now provide loads of information to companies about who you are and what you want. 

These high-tech vending machines use THE Microsoft Kinect sensor and a webcam to scan your face, compile your demographic profile and the type of candy in the machine that caught your attention.

Keep an eye out and you'll find them in malls and even universities across the country, carefully keeping an eye on you and homing in on your snack weakness.
