Join Nextgov's Inaugural Tech & Tequila Meetup This Wednesday
We’ll host five data experts in rapid fire succession amid (free) drinks, so you’ll be sure to get your tech buzz on.
If data is your thing – and if you’re up for a casual drink (or two!) – check out Nextgov’s first tech meetup this Wednesday at Impact Hub DC.
As the title of our series indicates, our goal is to create an informal environment where people doing cool work in the public sector can showcase their efforts, help educate peers, network and have a good time.
Wednesday’s event will be held 5:45 p.m. and is themed around data geeks. We’ll host five data experts in rapid fire succession amid (free) drinks, so you’ll be sure to get your tech buzz on.
They are:
- Robin Thottungal, chief data scientist, Environmental Protection Agency @rathottungal
- Jackie Kazil, tech fellow with Capital One and president of the Presidential Innovation Fellow Foundation @JackieKazil
- Fen Zhao, staff associate, strategic innovation, National Science Foundation and chief data scientist/co-founder of Saros Intelligence @NSF
- Ali Llewellyn, strategist for NASA's Technology & Innovation Division @adllewellyn
- Nicholas Skytland, NASA data evangelist @skytland
This is our first in what will become a series of tech meetups. Our next meetup will be held March 8 and focuses on the government’s next-generation cyberwarriors.
