Arrangements under which one agency provides IT, financial or other services to other agencies have long had their advocates in government, but in 2015 the shared-services movement gained real structure in support of the idea. And Price, through his leadership of the partnership's Shared Services Roundtable, was instrumental to that growth. Those efforts had a major impact on the Obama administration's decision to create a Unified Shared Services Management Office in the General Services Administration -- which Price subsequently left the partnership to join.
