The FITARA taskmaster.When Federal CIO Tony Scott tapped Sweezy to figure out how OMB should implement the Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act, Sweezy designed and led an outreach program that gathered input from hundreds of IT professionals across the government. He also established a FITARA Executive Working Group and worked closely with the participants to identify the primary opportunities and obstacles, challenging them to creatively determine how best to meet the spirit and letter of the law. Along the way, he developed what became OMB Memorandum M-15-14, which outlines how agencies can comply with FITARA's requirements.
