John Edwards will return to the agency, where he worked for 15 years before his employment in the private sector.
The nation's spy agency has a new top tech official.
John Edwards will return to the CIA, where he worked at for 15 years before private sector work that included executorship with Agilex Technologies Inc.
FCW first reported the news.
Edwards replaces Doug Wolfe, who led the CIA during its move to cloud computing and execution of the Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise plan.
Wolfe will take a new job with the CIA, officials said. Wolfe’s efforts will be closely linked to the success of the C2S cloud, built by Amazon Web Services, launched in the summer of 2014 and modified to pipe in innovation from outside government.
The personnel change comes following the creation of the first new directorate at the CIA in 50 years.
