Riding This Self-Driving Scooter Could Mean You’d Never Have to Walk Again

We all know that in the near future, driverless cars will move us around. But what about the distance from your door to the car? Don’t you need another vehicle to take you there?
This self-driving scooter might be what you’re looking for.
Scientists from MIT and the National University of Singapore created a self-driving scooter that’s designed specifically for pedestrian environments, both indoors and outdoors.
The scooter travels at a modest 6km per hour (about 4mph) and can navigate around obstacles. When faced with an obstacle, it will slow down or stop in order to calibrate a new route.
It’s currently being tested in Singapore.
