Page ensured that his team would lead by example, and he spent 2016 “re-platforming everything that we run in FAS into a platform that allows us to consume it under a cloud economics model” and positioning GSA to eventually become a shared-services provider of infrastructure, platform and software as a service. As a result, he said, FAS will better understand agencies’ needs because “we’ve been working on it ourselves to get it proven, to get it working.”
