To adapt to an increasingly complex environment for fighting fraud, waste and abuse, Lee took on the challenge of fixing existing systems and persuaded an extremely risk-averse organization to modernize. The Enterprise Dashboard he and his team developed now allows the OIG to access data and provide accurate responses to congressional inquiries in real time rather than months. His work helped the OIG detect the biggest Medicaid and Medicare fraud schemes in history, which had resulted in $1.3 billion in false billing.
