He also instituted a portfolio management strategy that uses cloud hosting to consolidate IT systems, resulting in the closing of 39 systems and a savings of $9 million that can be reinvested. A colleague said George and his team “worked to deliver incremental capability to airmen, ensuring that the right data and infrastructure are in place.”
