Automation expertise. In 2019, Gex spearheaded multiple automation efforts. The Joint Reconciliation Program measures Army-wide goals and typically takes 10,350 hours annually. Thanks to Gex's efforts, processing time on reports has been reduced by 93%, and more reports were generated in less time. She also led development of a bot that reduced the time it takes employees to analyze errors in the Army's weekly financial reports from two hours down to five minutes, and errors are automatically flagged so managers can take action. She also created the DOD RPA Consortium so representatives from all the military branches can share insights and best practices.
