He oversaw the division's $700 million CloudOne project, consolidated 14 data centers down to two and moved the organization toward a zero-trust security architecture. When the National Defense Authorization Act established a new military branch — the Space Force — King helped transition more than 55,000 personnel to their new service designation in the Global Address List within 10 days of the legislation's passage.
