Modernizing the mainframe. Chow is leading efforts to modernize HUD's processes for the 21st century. Last year, he successfully migrated the Federal Housing Administration's process for submitting mortgage insurance claims from a paper-based workflow to a Salesforce cloud environment, and he did it in six months. As a result, the turnaround time for supplemental claims has been reduced from 17 months to mere days, which is also saving taxpayers some $10 million annually. Chow is working to repeat that success for other processes, helping HUD to become one of the leading champions of the President's Management Agenda.
