Telecom transformer. Young led CenturyLink’s transformation from a traditional telecommunications company to a full-service technology provider. He moved quickly to implement the IT and security systems that resulted in CenturyLink being the first provider to receive an authority to operate from the General Services Administration under the $15 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions program. His team also won the first task order from NASA to transition from Networx to EIS, landed a contract to provide secure cloud connectivity for the Census Bureau and won a large IT modernization task order from the Social Security Administration.
