*** The Department of Defense announced a 1.3% cost of living adjustment for 2021 for the 2.1 million military retirees and individuals receiving survivors' allowances. That adjustment is down from the 1.6% increase granted in 2020 and the 2.8% increase in 2019. A 1.3% adjustment for 2021 is also being applied to Social Security beneficiaries and federal retirees.
