The Biden administration has lots of plans to tackle big problems—just not one for fixing the legacy IT systems at the heart of so many of the federal government’s issues.
In this special report, Nextgov looks at President Joe Biden’s ambitious agenda, which includes a litany of plans designed to address several ongoing crises faced by the nation, each with its own technology component. Those plans are framing priorities—including IT planning and programs—at agencies throughout government.
“We are really working off of what the administration has provided, which is four clear priorities: managing COVID-19; bolstering economic recovery; advancing diversity, equity and inclusion; and tackling the climate crisis,” Katy Kale, acting administrator for the General Services Administration, told Nextgov in an interview.
