The bounty hunter. Dewan has demonstrated outstanding leadership on crowdsourced security programs for DOD systems. He is the policy and project lead for the expansion of the Vulnerability Disclosure Program, which taps the knowledge and skills of ethical hackers to identify and report vulnerabilities in DOD’s information systems. In 2020, he oversaw the successful completion of four bug bounties on DOD systems and applications with the help of hundreds of U.S. and international researchers under DDS’ Hack the Pentagon program. He also managed a security and vulnerability assessment of the industrial control systems and building management systems that are of critical importance to national security.
