AI advocate. Drake has been a thought leader inside DIA and across the intelligence community, communicating the value and impact of AI on the military intelligence mission. He wrote DIA’s AI Strategic Framework, a roadmap for the agency’s investments for the next five to 10 years. He has focused on issues such as how to store data, make AI discoverable and explainable, and develop analytical and operational tradecraft from a data science perspective. By using flexible contract vehicles, he has widened competition pools for AI procurements, increased the quality of submissions, decreased the cost of services and introduced new innovations to DIA.
