Driving DevSecOps. In 2020, Jones and his team focused on improving government agencies’ cybersecurity postures and helping them accelerate development through DevSecOps. As part of that effort, Jones has landed Red Hat OpenShift — a hybrid cloud platform for application development — in every major federal agency. He also shows agencies how to embrace the collaboration that has spurred innovation in the private sector. His noteworthy successes include partnering with Raytheon on a DevSecOps solution that allows agencies to develop apps at an unclassified level and deploy them into classified environments and enabling the Navy’s Compile to Combat in 24 Hours program to rapidly develop and deploy secure applications.
