Name:
Ed DeSeve
Title:
Coordinator, Agile Government Center
Organization:
National Academy of Public Administration
Agile architect. DeSeve is drawn to complex problems that demand government-scale thinking. The former chief financial officer at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and former controller and deputy director for management at the Office of Management and Budget was President Barack Obama’s pick to oversee implementation of the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act after the Great Recession. In 2020, DeSeve turned his expertise to the Agile Government Center — a network of global leaders seeking to break down government hierarchies so agencies can better achieve their missions. The center’s November 2020 report established an essential roadmap for making government truly agile.
