Powering HHS Protect. Within five days of receiving a request from the White House, Khaliq spearheaded the launch of the HHS Protect Public Data Hub to help government respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The secure platform aggregates billions of data elements from over 200 sources into one robust ecosystem to identify trends and mobilize efforts. The White House used the data to collaborate on steps, rules and protections, and all publicly reported data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention came from HHS Protect. Thanks to Khaliq’s leadership, the hub was a linchpin in driving policy and better health outcomes at every level of government.
