*** Kiersten E. Todt has been named chief of staff of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. A longtime cybersecurity expert with past experience in the federal government, Todt most recently served as managing director of the Cyber Readiness Institute, which partners with global companies to provide small businesses with free cybersecurity tools and resources. She was the executive director of the bipartisan Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity during the Obama administration.
*** Alvaro Bedoya, the director of the Center on Privacy & Technology at Georgetown Law School, was nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as a commissioner on the Federal Trade Commission. Bedoya's previously served as chief counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology and the Law.
