*** The General Services Administration released a request for information on Thursday asking for apps from innovative learning content providers like online universities and tech companies. The move is part of a pilot focused on the federal financial management community. The idea is that learning content providers will partner with the Federal Chief Financial Officers Council to give pay-for access to content across 54 competency areas in data, tech and financial management. The end goal is to "revolutionize" how the government approaches workforce modernization and upskilling, according to GSA's announcement.
*** There's a new chief at the U.S. Air Force's mobile capabilities-focused software factory BESPIN. Lt. Col. Paul Cooper, who has served as the software factory’s CEO since 2019, is moving on from the role as of Aug. 9. Lt. Col. Stargell Mosley will step into the role. Mosley was previously the chief for the U.S. Forces Korea COVID OPS and the Strategic Systems and Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, and Networks Program Analysis.
