*** Feds can get administrative leave to take their children to get vaccinated, according to a new memo from the Office of Personnel Management. The clarification follows the recent authorization of COVID-19 vaccines for children as young as 5 years old and builds on existing guidance that agencies must give administrative leave to feds to get vaccinated or to accompany their family members to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
*** The IRS is hosting a virtual industry day for its planned seven-year $2.6 billion, seven-year IT services consolidation contract on Nov. 18. The contract, dubbed Enterprise Development, Operations Services (EDOS) is designed to bring nine application domains under a single vehicle, and includes major taxpayer systems including Customer Account Data Engine 2, the planned update to the legacy Individual Master File system. IRS expects a request for proposals to hit the street in June 2022.
