NGA Awards GDIT $4.5 Billion Data Services Contract

The single-award contract has a 10-year ordering period.
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency announced Friday that it has awarded General Dynamics Information Technology its User Facing and Data Center Services contract—valued at up to $4.5 billion over the next 10 years.
According to the company, the contract will provide an abundance of services to the intelligence agency. Among them: hybrid cloud services, as well as IT design, engineering, implementation and operations. Those services will improve NGA's geospatial intelligence capabilities and support its global users, according to GDIT, by providing a full range of enterprise services across application services, high performance computing, unified communications, virtual desktop, DevOps, platform-as-a-service and mobile secure wireless services, across agency locations worldwide.
In addition, the contract will support the IT backbone of its new campus—Next NGA West—in St. Louis, Missouri.
“We are proud of our longstanding partnership with NGA and look forward to this opportunity to continue to leverage our portfolio of innovative technologies and services to advance the geospatial mission,” Amy Gilliland, GDIT president, said in a statement.
