DOD OIG-hosted Ukraine oversight webpage gets an upgrade

A group of inspectors general made three new changes to the site that provides transparency into ongoing federal operations in Ukraine.
The government’s website for monitoring U.S. assistance to Ukraine received an upgrade to several of its features Tuesday, as the U.S. works to continue monitoring Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
The three updates — made by the Special Inspector General of Operation Atlantic Resolve, along with IGs for the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Comptroller General of the Government Accountability Office — include enhanced graphics in an interactive dashboard; a new investigations page; and an enhanced funding page, the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General confirmed to Nextgov/FCW.
“The website brings together the oversight community’s robust efforts to ensure the proper use of taxpayer dollars in support of Ukraine’s response to Russia’s full-scale invasion,” a spokesperson for Defense’s IG Office told Nextgov/FCW.
The Ukraine Oversight website, launched in March 2024, is meant to bring clarity to the U.S. government’s various efforts in responding to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The website’s steering committee met weekly to coordinate on the design, usability, and content of the website to help share real-time information on U.S. efforts in Ukraine.
The website's creation was mandated by Congress in the FY2024 National Defense Authorization Act.
