Barry West, chief information officer of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, is on paid administrative leave.
Federal News Radio and FCW first reported the story Thursday.

According to the reports, West will forgo a second year as president of the Association for Federal Information Resource Management. AFFIRM will announce a new president June 17.
West is a well-known name and speaks frequently in public on a range of IT issues, from leadership to cybersecurity. He formerly spent two years as CIO of the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation and held a range of IT-related public and private sector positions prior to 2013.
