Davis asks for hearing on information sharing
Interested in trying to influence Congress' federal information technology agenda, Rep. Tom Davis, R-Va., sent a letter today to the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee asking for a hearing on the Homeland Security Department's information sharing practices.
Davis' letter to chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., wrote that with less than a month until hurricane season and the ongoing terrorism threat, "time is of the essence" to review the issue. Davis, the ranking member on the committee, was chairman of the committee before the Democrats gained control of the House in the 2006 elections.
