CACI Hires Former FBI CIO
Former FBI Chief Information Officer Zalmai Azmi has landed at CACI International to head up the company's law enforcement and national security business. Azmi joined the FBI in 2003 after leaving his CIO post at the Executive Office for the United States Attorneys. He was named FBI CIO in 2004 at the time the bureau was having trouble with its program to build a network that agents could use to share evidence and electronically manage cases. Azmi and top FBI executives killed the project in 2005 and launched a revised system called Sentinel, which has received mostly favorable audits from the General Accounting Office.
