Making Change Transparent -- Soon

Much has been written and said about how President-elect Barack Obama would embrace technology in his administration. In particular, the new president had laid out in his government reform plan how IT would be used to make government more transparent .

Yesterday, the Obama transition team announced it would create the Web site change.gov so the public could monitor the work of the transition team. So far the site, which The Washington Post reported would be up late on Wednesday. So far, it's still under construction.

A bit more troubling was the fact that when a Government Executive staffer accessed the site earlier today, it warned him that the site, ironically, was password protected. That seems to have been changed, however.
