The Office of Management and Budget on Tuesday announced the debut of another IT dashboard, this time as a window into the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.
The new OIRA dashboard allows users to track regulations submitted for interagency review sorted by agency, length of review, stage of rulemaking and economic significance. The site currently shows 97 pending actions. The Environmental Protection Agency tops the list with 18, with Agriculture at 12 and Defense at 10.
"With the help of intuitive and graphical displays, the dashboard will make it easier for people to identify the rule or category of rules they are interested in, and will allow them to monitor progress," wrote OMB Director Peter Orszag in a blog post. "Simply put, the dashboard democratizes the data."
