The SANS Institute, a cybersecurity research and training company in Bethesda, Md., is conducting a survey of how much information security workers in the federal government and in the contracting community make. So, they want to hear from you, Mr. and Ms. Cyber Employee.
There's really no good account of the salaries of information security employees in government and those working for contractors. SANS wants to find out with an eye on learning if certifications and special training helps boost salaries -- or not. The information also could shed some needed light on compensation equality between the public and private sectors.
When the survey closes, watch for an article on the results. But first you have to take the survey.
