The Social Security Administration on Monday launched a redesigned homepage that aims to help visitors find the information and services they need faster.
The agency said in a news release that the new site reflects feedback from the public. It features a bar, on the left column, with links to the most popular pages on the agency's website, including information on getting a replacement Social Security card and applying for benefits.
Further, the new look highlights agency initiatives, through a central box with rotating content. Also redesigned were the pages for the major benefit programs -- retirement, disability, survivors, supplemental security income and Medicare. All of those pages are linked from the top bar on the homepage.
