AT&T Government Solutions will guide the business and technology development of DreamHammer Inc., a small, disadvantaged business based in Santa Monica, Calif., under a new mentor-protégé agreement issued through the Army Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Office.

In a mentor-protégé program, an established, experienced prime federal contractor guides a newcomer, teaching the smaller company's officials how to build a federal business.

"This award is especially exciting for us because it is our first mentor-protégé agreement with the Army," said Bill Polizos, director of AT&T Government Solutions' small business program. "AT&T Government Solutions will bring a great deal of experience to this new effort because we have a long history with similar agreements through the Air Force and the Defense Information Systems Agency."

Last year, AT&T Government Solutions and another protégé, Terradigm Inc., won a Nunn-Perry award. The award recognizes excellence in mentor-protégé relationships.
