AT&T joins NetCents

Northrop Grumman Corp. has chosen AT&T Government Solutions to be a subcontractor on the $9 billion Air Force Network Centric Solutions contract.

Northrop Grumman Corp. officials have chosen AT&T Government Solutions to be a subcontractor on the $9 billion Air Force Network Centric Solutions contract.

Northrop is one of eight prime contractors on the five-year contract, awarded last month, which Air Force officials use to purchase net-centric technology and equipment.

The NetCents contract, which is open to other agencies, is also a vehicle for systems engineering, installation, operations and maintenance services for the Air Force's Global Information Grid architecture and other defense networks.

AT&T now has the right to bid on work purchased through the contract, including traditional telecom services, network and cybersecurity services, systems engineering, help-desk support, equipment purchases, operations and maintenance, and other professional services.
