Jordan airline passengers use smart cards

Epok, an identity rights management company, announced Tuesday that its TDX product is being used for a passenger information sharing network by the Kingdom of Jordan and Dubai International Airport.

Epok President Ayman Hariri said the automated TDX system is deployed in both countries.

"This relieves pressure off people and immigration officials," he said, adding that agency personnel no longer have to look at stamps or visas for validity.

TDX uses a database to check biometric information stored on passengers' smart cards.

TDX can work with any system for the purposes of immigration" and information sharing, Hariri said.

"Now there is a network so other countries can join and exchange the same information," he said.

In the United States, Epok is in discussions with several government agencies. The platform works with all smart card systems, Hariri said.
