Sprint wins Asian DISA deal

Defense Information Systems Agency officials have awarded new contracts worth $16.6 million to Sprint to provide connectivity for Defense Department sites in Japan and Guam.

Sprint's partners include NTT Communications, KDDI, Japan Telecom, Tyco and the Guam Telephone Authority.

“Building on a long-time relationship, DOD continues to demonstrate its trust in Sprint’s ability to meet its unique communications needs,” said Tony D’Agata, vice president and general manager of Sprint's Government Systems Division, in a written statement. “This additional connectivity will help the DOD meet the growing needs of its agencies.”
