The company's GSA schedule now has Flowfinity's wireless applications.
Consulting firm Advanced Technologies Support Group recently added Flowfinity Wireless to its General Services Administration schedule.
ATSG, based in Owings Mills, Md., develops mobile applications for BlackBerry wireless handhelds. Flowfinity Wireless is a Canadian company that provides mobile business applications.
Flowfinity products included on ATSG's schedule include Flowfinity Forms, a data collection application; Flowfinity Reports, which publishes tabular data such as contact information to mobile workers; and Flowfinity Actions, which pushes tasks to remote workers.
ATSG also offers Flowfinity Solutions Server. This product includes runtime middleware and a developer platform for creating applications on BlackBerry, said John Heinz, president of ATSG. The product lets integrators build applications that interact and integrate with back-end databases, he said.
In addition, Solutions Server eliminates the Java programming normally associated with building applications for BlackBerry handsets that use a Java-based operating system, Heinz said. That feature, he added, speeds up the development process. It also helps organizations that have a Microsoft .Net environment.
"Anybody that has a .Net environment as a standard is now going to be able to continue to use all the skill sets, tools … and standards they have in place without making a whole lot of changes to their development process," Heinz said.
ATSG earlier this month announced its Wireless Inspection Manager product, a BlackBerry application that uses Flowfinity technology.
