Search vendor seeks fed biz
Inxight opens new Washington, D.C., office, hires new federal manager.
Inxight Software, a company based in Sunnyvale, Calif., that provides enterprise search software, is raising its visibility in the federal market by opening a Washington, D.C., office and hiring a new leader of its government division.
Paul Battaglia, a 20-year veteran of federal government software sales, is the new general manager for government solutions. Prior to Inxight, he was vice president of worldwide sales and support at Softek Storage Solutions and management director for Endeca Technologies’ federal division. Previously, he managed EMC’s federal practice.
Inxight also opened a brand new office in Reston, Va., for the company’s government practice, which has more than 100 government customers, including the Agriculture, Homeland Security and Defense departments, among others.
The company’s software enables users to search, retrieve, analyze and interpret unstructured data, which is text and other data that cannot be stored in a traditional database.
