IRS picks webMethods as part of modernization
Agency picks vendor to integrate existing and future IT systems.
The Internal Revenue Service has chosen webMethods to provide its business integration platform, called "Fabric," for its modernization project.
Fabric is a suite of products that enables customers to blend their information technology with business processes.
Led by the bureau's Modernization and Information Technology Services division, the modernization project will use the webMethods products to fully integrate existing and future IT systems deployed throughout IRS.
IRS considered several vendors before setting on webMethods, according to a company statement.
