Bush to name DOD acquisition, technology deputy
The president intends to nominate James Finley.
President Bush intends to nominate James Finley to be deputy undersecretary of Defense for acquisition and technology at the Defense Department.
Finley, who lives in Minnesota, currently is president of the Finley Group, a consulting company he formed in 2002. Before that, he was president and chief executive officer of Smartskin.
He has served as a manager at General Electric, Singer, Lear Siegler, United Technologies and General Dynamics, where he was a corporate officer, president of information systems and chairman of the Business Development Council.
Finley received his bachelor's degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and his master's from California State University.
