Language Weaver inks reseller deal

Language Weaver has entered a strategic reseller agreement with Carahsoft Technology, a government information technology solutions provider.

The pact marks the latest reseller foray for Language Weaver, which develops automated language translation software. The company announced a reseller deal with CACI International last year. The company has also forged government-oriented alliances with BBN Technologies and SPSS.

Language Weaver’s software modules provide bidirectional translation for language pairs such as Chinese/English, French/English, Persian/English and Spanish/English. Other modules provide unidirectional Somali-to-English and Hindi-to-English translation.

In the Carahsoft alliance, the reseller will offer Language Weaver’s products on its General Services Administration schedule. The arrangement will make the translation software easier to obtain and expand its presence in the government space, according to Language Weaver.

Carahsoft, based in Reston, Va., provides software and support solutions to federal, state and local government agencies. The company’s vendor partners include Symantec, Red Hat, MySQL, Opsware, Pillar Data Systems, Macromedia, Avue Technologies and CareerBuilder.
