Network Chemistry extends government reach

Network Chemistry, a maker of wireless security products, aims to broaden its reach in the government market through an alliance with network security vendor SonicWall.

Under the agreement, Network Chemistry’s RFprotect product line will be made available through SonicWall’s channel partners. In the government market, those partners include CDW Government and GTSI. RFprotect’s components include a wireless vulnerability assessment system, an endpoint security solution and a tool for automating site surveys, security assessments and incident response.

Brian de Haaff, vice president of product management and marketing at Network Chemistry, described government as a major vertical market for the company. “We see a lot of traction at the federal and state levels,” he said.

The vendor partnership, de Haaff said, “gives us a broader reach through SonicWall and their [value-added resellers] who address the federal market.” Resellers, in turn, benefit from the ability to offer wireless vulnerability assessment as a value-added service to their customers, he added.

Network Chemistry and SonicWall also pursue technology integration through their alliance. Network Chemistry’s RFprotect Mobile, a laptop-based wireless security tool, has integrated SonicWall’s wireless card, de Haaff said.
